Online Commerce Safety Tips!
At Mykanta we are fully committed to making sure that your experience and activities on our site are as safe and secure as possible. Here you can find advice on how to stay safe while connecting and trading on Mykanta.com.- Never give out sensitive/financial information Information such as bank account details, credit/debit/master card(s) and any other information that could be misused should be kept secret at all times.
- Overpayment Do not accept a cheque payment exceeding the sale amount. This could be a scam, particularly if the buyer demands a refund for the overpayment.
- Good judgment Avoid anything that appears too good to be true, such as unrealistically low prices and promises of nippy money.
- Fraudulent Emails & Websites Never respond to an email requesting for your account or credit card information. This is called phishing. Do not enter sensitive information onto a spoof website. Always check the URL.
- Fee requests Avoid anyone that ask for extra fees to sign up and use Mykanta.com services. Mykanta.com never requests payments for its basic services, such as sing-up for users and businesses and sharing of experiences.
- Verifying Suppliers/Sellers Credentials
To ensure that buyers buy from existing and genuine businesses, mykanta gives businesses a grace period of Three (3) weeks to use the platform, after which the business must verify the account to ensure the It is genuine and credible for buyers to transact with.
- Business Information - Check the location, contact information, delivery capability before contacting a business or placing an order.
- Comments and Feedbacks - At least go through some of the feedbacks and comments made by some buyers or people who have had contact with the business to know a little about what people think about the business.
- Meeting between you (buyer) and Sellers
- Meeting place - You should meet sellers at their respective business locations and should check the shop banner to confirm that it’s the right business.
- Should you intend to meet sellers at different location beside sellers’ premises’, meet at public areas, thoroughly check the item and ensure satisfaction before making payment.
- Meeting times - Please be advised that the recommended time to meet a seller is between the hours of 8:00am-3:30pm. don’t meet any seller at night or in dark areas.
- Meeting place - You should meet sellers at their respective business locations and should check the shop banner to confirm that it’s the right business.
- General Scams and Fraud to look out for among sellers
Please be informed that, some sellers may practice certain abominable acts to dupe you of your money or resources. Such acts are highlighted below for you to watch out for.
- Product Swap - Changing original product with a different item.
- Product Clones - Similar or identical product to the original.
- No form of warrant or guarantee - Always request for some form of guarantee before purchasing an item.
- Bad meeting times - Dark hours or close to dark hours, especially when unfamiliar with location.
- Mail Phishing - Requesting for credit card information.
- First Order To make sure your first order with any business is as safe as it can be, mykanta advice that you pick up from store to enable you recognize the business you are dealing with, hence you can choose to order for delivery by the business or third party delivery.
- Continues Order Please note that every order is special, ensuring satisfaction and safe transaction is among the very essence of our existence. We therefore suggest that you should be on alert and inform mykanta of all unsatisfied transactions to enable us make your transactions better.
- Delivery Mykanta does not provide delivery services, you have three options to choose from, two of which are currently available. Thus; pick up from store and Business self-Delivery
- Upon Receiving of Goods Upon receiving your ordered goods, cross check details if it matches with the posted item on the business page or order receipt. If details does not match kindly inform the business representative and contact mykanta immediately.
- DIRECT DEPOSIT Payment via direct deposit can be done in two(2) ways; - Online banking or Mobile banking - Deposit at the Bank in person Online or Mobile banking Online and mobile payments can only be made if this feature has been enable by your banking institution. If you are unsure of how to pay by either options, please contact your bank or mobile service provider and they will be able to take you through their processes. You can as well contact Hipi Escrow customer care for further assistance on how to make payment via “Online or Mobile Banking. Deposit at the Bank in person Step 1. Print out a copy of your order and our banking details Step 2. Go to a bank (it does not have to be your bank) Step 3. If you are not sure of the process, ask for help at the Information counter Step 4. Fill out a deposit form using our bank details as the account to deposit the funds into Step 5. Make sure you put your order number on the deposit slip as a reference so we can trace your payment when it arrives in our account, your deposit slip will serve as a receipt. Finally: We will see the payment deposited into our account and will finalize the processing of your order. Our Bank Details Bank: Access Bank Ghana Account Name: Hipi Company Limited Account No. 021 022 313 688 1 Please use your Order number as your reference number on your direct deposit. This will help to process your order. Swift Code: ABNGGHAC The Swift code is only required for International Orders.
- WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER Step 1: Go to any nearest Western Union Office. A full list can be found on the Western Union website. Step 2: Fill out the Western Union "Send Money" form. No bank account is required for sender or receiver. Step 3: Give the form with the sending amount and fee to the Western Union Agent. Step 4: The Western Union Agent will enter the information into the computer and then give you a receipt with your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). Step 5: Telephone or e-mail the MTCN number to Hipi Company Limited to collect the funds and process your order. Step 6: Find our contact details here

- Empty Bulk Order: Buyer makes order however has no intention to make purchase but take the goods away without payment or even harm seller.
- Fake Currencies or bank paper for payments: The use of counterfeit may be used for payment by some buyers, please check the notes carefully before accepting payments.
- Unfamiliar meeting grounds: Meeting buyers at locations that you are not familiar with is not advisable, kindly request for a familiar ground that both parties may be comfortable with.
- Bulk payments fund excuses: Excuse of large funds cannot be carried around and as such you should follow buyer to a location to withdraw or collect the fund is not advisable. Kindly ignore or reject such outcomes.
- First order To make sure your first order with any buyer is as safe at it can be, mykanta advice that you allow client to Pick up from store to enable you recognize the buyer your dealing with, hence you can choose to deliver to buyer from time to time ones you are familiar with the buyer.

- Delivery Before delivering a product to a buyer, ensure that you agree to buyers’ payment terms and ready to take the risk involved, it’s advisable that buyers pay before delivering goods to their locations. Should there be any form of disagreements’ kindly let buyer use HIPI ESCROW payment option for the transaction.
